The Great Lakes Demo Tour offers free introductory windsurfing lessons at all events, check our website for locations and dates.
Private windsurfing lessons are also available for individuals, families and groups at $50 per individual lesson. Family and group rates vary depending on the number and level of students. Each 2 hour lesson begins with on-land instruction demonstrating proper rigging and basic stance and sailing technique. On-the-water instruction with the student accompanied by the instructor follows until the student is competent to sail alone or until the lesson ends. Most students are able to sail competently after about 1 hour in which case the student and instructor may free sail together for the duration of the lesson.
SUP Lessons
Private SUP lessons are available by appointment only, Lessons start at $35 per individual per hour, group and family rates available. Please contact Ronda for availability and scheduling, rvcruns@aol.com or 517 285 1725.
All parents and students must be able to swim and are required to sign a Liability Waiver. All windsurfing and SUP gear is included in the price of the lesson but students must provide their own personal floatation devices, wetsuits and booties if desired.
